Doug McMullin, President

Dr. McMullin works at Shasta Community Health Center and has been a physician in Redding for 29 years.  He is active in church and the community, and loves the North State outdoors.  Favorite activities are hiking with his wife Sheri, and growing blueberries.  He is proud to be a US Navy veteran having served with Marine Corps air units.

Dr. McMullin met Willey Mackey (see Medical Respite page) in a life-changing 2016 conference in Washington, DC which altered his perspective on homelessness.  "I realized this could be me, or one of my family... all it takes are some financial mistakes and one good illness, and if you don't have a family network, you are on the street."

As a part of the Shasta Community HOPE program,  Dr.  McMullin visited patients experiencing homelessness  in their camps and on the street.  It is clear that most struggle with some disability and do not wish to be on the street.  With other concerned community members, Pathways to Housing was formed as a Redding-based non-profit organization incorporating the values of compassionate service and individual self-reliance.  He is happy to work with amazing individuals and leaders in our community to help people rebuild their lives.
