"How Much Should I Give?"
Now that the Hartman House facility is open, we are able to host patients in the HOPE Medical Respite Program on-site; however, we have maintained the scattered site model for those who are unable to live in a congregate setting. Upon entry, each patient is offered clothing and personal hygiene products. Patients in the Scattered Site model also receive pantry items and a few household necessities that would have been otherwise available to them at the Hartman House facility.
While each patient enters medical respite with their own needs and care plans, we do our best to ensure everyone has everything they need to get the most out of their recovery. Typically, it costs $25 to create a full welcome kit. With an average of 10 admissions a month, costs sure add up! This is why monthly donations of even $5 or $10 make a world of difference for those we serve.
